    UP UP and UP

Pixar's 10 for 10. Simply put : just a nice (very nice), heartwarming movie for everyone. Enough slapstick for kids and enough story for adults. Animation top notch as always. 3D clear but not many effects. I would skip the 3D if the theatre charges extra. Not as good as say the Fantastics, Toy Story or Monsters Inc, but if they were 5s then Up is a 4.5. Great setup for the story with just a heart tugging opening scene, unusual for an animated movie to be able to really touch you emotially. Gives you a great sense of the character. Movie ends "UP" by touching your heart again but on a happy note. Very enjoyable.

"A" but be aware of delicate issues that might yank at your heart, and stir your kids .... GO SEE ALREADY!

This is an "A" level family film but be aware that there are moments that address people growing old, dreams that are never realized, loved ones dying (the old wife), lost relationships with a father (the boy's), and other issues that might require holding your little person's hand.

My kids 11 and 12 enjoyed this. I am 40 and I enjoyed it.

We laughed, we cried, we didn't get impatient for an ending, the plot was predictable but pleasant, and it was really good to take my kids to something that was "Family-Friendly".

Take a kleenex, and one for your kid too. Well worth the ticket price and everyone can appreciate something and some character in this movie. It touches the American experience we all share in some way.

It definitely earns an "A" for a well done film. Worth the ticket price. Worth owning on DVD.

    GO SEE IT ALREADY!

Over reacting parents. UP had no problems.

    by

Yes it's sad, yes it's dark, and yes it's depressing after a while, but I concider this to be a kids movie. I am 18 and I saw this because I trust pixar and I would not mind my 10 year old sister seing this. It's not as bad as people lead you to be. The theater was halfway filled with laughing parents and kids. again, yes it's a bit sad, but it makes sense. The villin is the guies hero which is reasonable. That bit of conflict comes up more than frequently as well as jerkish dads. To my knoledge, I saw absolutly no questionable content in this movie. Parents, if you think something may or may not have bad content,

LOOK AT THE RATING!!! I don't mean to be this way, but when something says Parental Guidence(PG) on it, don't expect it to be a kids movie. Examples: Narnia, Spiderwick, etc.

This movie's story was a bit dark like the Incredibles, but it was definatly origional and creative. This is almost as amazing as Ratatouilli or Wall-e. I would not mind seing it again.

This was an extrordinary movie full of action, adventure, and much, much more. It is a good movie for all viewers and especially ones who have big dreams. The movie should remind everyone to never give up on your dreams, no matter how likely the chance, because if you believe hard enough, they might just come true.

    all around GREAT movie.

Pixar never fails to make a great movie that everyone can enjoy! It has very funny parts and even parts that can make you cry. Such a great story! There was no one in the theatre that didnt laugh and/or cry at some point. They even did an outstanding job with the 3D aspect of it! It attracted all different ages and thats really hard to do. Its honestly an all around good movie and i wouldnt change a thing. Go see it you definitely wont be dissapointed.

Found Another Monstrously Incredible Movie from Pixar

With its Pixar pedigree and rave reviews, my expectations for Up were pretty high. Even so, Up managed to push the quality bar even higher and redefine what I should expect from the creative geniuses at Pixar. Although I am not a parent myself, the movie does contain some grown-up content that seemed to require some additional explanation to youngsters in my showing. Otherwise, I laughed, I cried, and I found inspiration. Up is a must-see that I can easily recommend and is definitely among my favorite movies from the Pixar crew.

    PG!! Not for young kids!!

    by

This is a great movie with great effects--for older kids and adults. I made the mistake of taking 4 and 5 year olds to see this--all but one were crying in fear at some point in the movie!!! The combination of fabulous visual and sound effects make the "moments of peril", REALLY SCARY for young kids! I feel absolutely horrible that I didn't take the PG rating seriously. The 3D effects are amazing, but too scary for the younger kids. Think about loud thunderstorms crashing in a dark theater, and viscious dogs barking, growling, and chasing you! Not to mention any fear of heights or falling! So for older kids it's okay, But in reality, the story is for adults. Good story, amazing effects, just WAY too much for younger kids.

    Pixar's "UP"

I did not have a Fandango account until I saw this movie. Look- If you're a little worried, it's ok. First- The movie is very sad, especially at the begining. I have never cried in a movie as much as Up made me. It made me think of my Grandpa who passed away, and most movies I can't thank for reminding me of such memories.

The movie was funny, sad, exciting, fresh... It was an easy "must go".

"Up" reminded me of how 'trash' most of todays movies are these days, and how Pixar never ceases to amaze.

If you're going to see a movie, see Up.
