I really loved the message of this film. Bad things happen to good people but it's not the end of the story. There were parts of the film that were difficult to watch because of a strobe-like effect for me. Some moments the music was louder than I personally would have liked, but it didn't detract from the movie. We took our almost 12 year old and she understood what was going on. We all choked up several times. We would love to see more movies without the vulgarity and indecent behavior that is so prevalent today. Please bring us more movies that teach kids and families morals, modest behavior. I enjoy watching movies where you feeling like talking about the story or issues rather than take a shower to scrub off the filth.

Kirk makes some really interesting remarks about why bad things happen to good people, using stories from scripture and life stories to help make his points. Of course that assumes the audience believes the Bible as the inspired word of God. As a believer, I really got into his line of thinking, but if someone is a non-believer I don't think this movie would resonate with them. He shows us that good triumphs over evil and that God's message is unstoppable.

I thought the movie gave a clear answer to the question and I was glad I went. I thought it was long in getting to the point. The presentation of the Word was clear but the tone was flat and sorta unenthusiastic. I wish there were more details about the boy's life and how his family coped with the illness and his death. The death of any child is painful but I wasn't involved enough to be very emotional. I admire Kirk Cameron for his work and hope he continues with this venue. Maybe a little more story telling and less preaching.

This movie is an answer to my prayers!

Ever since my youngest son passed on into Jesus's arms, I've been concerned over the lack of care shown by the church to those experiencing the unexpected death of a loved one, especially a child, whose death disrupts mankind's order of life. It's easy for those who are grieving to become angry with God and become what I call "God haters". This film powerfully delivers a bigger prospective, Biblically based answers, to why God allows suffering and death to happen when He could prevent it. This movie was so powerful that I'm still digesting it today, almost 24 hours later! I pray that this movie's message motivates Christians to live out their faith to the full. We MUST wake up and start reaching out with love to those who are running from God, including those who have turned their back on God after a tragedy.

Sadly, I have to agree with the majority of other reviewers.
