Kirk is a great story-teller and this is the greatest story ever. Some scenes are a little intense (for kids anyway) and some of the stylized sequences are probably too long but all-in-all it was well worth the admission price. I think the current generation of "young people" could certainly gain a fresh perspective on the "why do bad things happen to good people" question by seeing this "movie".

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, especially listening to Kirk. I am deaf with two cochlear implants that help me hear almost everything. It was easy for me to understand Kirk and I understood everything except the words to Mandesa's song and the other guy's song, especially the first time he sang. But, Kirk's story, acting, and knowledge of the Bible were superb.

I was expecting this to be about why we have Faith. Not sure now what it was about. Love Kirk, love his past works, but I'm scratching my head on this one.

Kirk Cameron brings yet another inspiring, reality based movie to the big screen. It is a tear jerker - unless you don't believe in God.
This movie is the story of Cameron's young friend who is dying, as Kirk struggles with accepting his friend's fate. Cameron explains his understanding of the bible beginning with Genesis with which he tries to understand why tragedy happens to people - especially people who don't deserve it. Cameron presents a pretty accurate understanding of biblical theology and this movie may be helpful for those struggling with tragedy in their lives. Does he come up with a rational conclusion - you'll have to watch the end to see.

Listen to the good reviews and don't listen to the negative people nitpicking. This movie is FANTASTIC!! He was very honest and thorough about why some people just don't get God and His ways but gave reasons as to why we should trust Him regardless. Kirk gave great examples and presented the message in a way that was understanding to non Christians too.
Well done Kirk!!
