The English-language title of Ungdom I Fara was Youths in Danger. The film was based on a Swedish radio serial which enjoyed a great deal of popularity in the postwar years. Expectedly, the story concerns the trials and tribulations of a group of aimless youths, who inadvertently but inextricably drift into delinquency. The film was competently directed by P. G. Holmgren and reasonably well directed by a young and largely unknown cast. But like many "j.d." films of the period, including those made in Hollywood, Ungdom I Fara offers no tangible solutions to the problems it poses. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
