In the summer of 1984, as the world seems to fall apart, one young boy is sent to spend the weekend with his aunt and becomes lost in his own microscopic world. Los Angeles is abuzz with the 23rd Summer Olympics, a devastating drought has resulted in a bad harvest in over 20 African countries, and every 30 days another 20,000 children die in Ethiopia; but to young Victor, none of this holds any consequence. Victor is staying with his aunt for the weekend, and the only things on his mind are the beauty of his 15-year-old cousin Denise and the terror of the neighbor's vicious dog. Then there's the incident at the bridge, but that's something best left unspoken. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
