Under the Same Moon is all heart

     by  Farting_Artist

This movie shows how hard it is for people on the other side to come in, and the crazy things that people would do for family

The story hits close to home for many friends and family members. Many of the events can easily be mirrored in past events, stories told by those who may have lived them, gone through a similar process.

    Exelent clean movie

Finnaly something different on a movie. Most of the movies are full of sex and violence in order to get people's attention, but this movie was clean and keep me on my toes. Great content and story for what lots of inmigrants go thru.
I had to admit that the end was short for what was expected. I meant that we never got to see mom and son to hug and kiss as it was expected, but we had the idea.
I will give it a great credit for the good intention and clean content of the movie plus the drama within.

     by  darkknight1

Good movie, and very true story of the typical mexican family with family back home in Mexico.

    Wonderful film!

     by  Films_Addiction

Foreign. Very good. Excellent cast. Excellent Acting. Excellent Direction. Story lacked just a little depth into the characters. We understand that a mom is a mom but what makes/made this mom how she was ? no interested in men at all even at such a young age. And the drifter that the Carlitos meets ? why is he so anti-social when it?s so obvious that he has a heart of gold? I would have liked to see a little more depth to the characters. In life we understand that every single person is not simply bad or good ? we are complex beings that react differently to different situations. So with this being an independent film free of the ?Hollywood Effect,? I would have liked just a little more depth into the main characters. Other than that ? I loved this movie! Kate del Castillo is excellent as she always is and the little boy playing Carlitos wins your heart in a second. Go watch this movie but take a box of tissue!

    Moon Over Me

I think I was the only non-Latino present of about nine adults in the theatre. I mention this first because of the emotional impact the movie clearly had on this little gathering: you could actually HEAR that people were deeply moved and had to compose themselves while the credits rolled before going out into the lighted lobby.
This movie touches a nerve with a certain segment of our American population in a big way; anybody with a heart should make a point to see it for it might open an eye or two---too bad it will likely remain a sleeper.
Sociological study aside, the movie itself is warm, witty, funny, and extremely well-acted by numerous unknowns. And the little boy-------he lit up the screen with charm the likes of which hasn't been seen since McCauley Calkin was a little kid, but this kid was better. In my book, this movie is a must see for anybody, even if you don't care for what you think (you'd be wrong) is somebody else's political agenda.

    touching

     by  mdr718

Great story that shows what a mother goes through as an immigrant & how it affects the child she left behind. Will touch your heart & make you appreciate your heritage and struggles! its a movie young and old!
