“Temptation” is about a marriage counselor who gets tempted to go outside her own marriage and the consequences she’s going to have for her decision.
“Temptation” takes its viewers to movie school graduating with unforgettable life lessons. Don't go see “Temptation” looking for Madea, she’s not there. I don’t actually believe I laughed once. Not since “Fatal Attraction” starring Michael Douglas has a movie kicked you in the gut as hard for cheating. The movie is seriously bold and deliberate. Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s character transitions fast into someone no mother would be happy with. The men (Robbie Jones and Lance Gross) are more ripped and cut than your average husband and seducer. Kim Kardashian’s role only requires her to be herself. Mainstream critics will murder this movie, but Perry knows his audience and he delivers a home run with his message. You be the judge, I suggest you go see it for yourself.

I don't understand all of the negative criticism. There are MUCH worse films than Temptation. Movies are supposed to entertain and Tyler succeeded. I thought he told a seductive story in a tasteful manner. I left the theater thinking about the choices that I made in my own life. The movie also reminded audience members to think carefully about who they allow into their lives. Thus, Perry did more than entertain, which gives his movie more value.
I do think Perry should hone his skills in character development and lighting. I could not see Brice for a large portion of the movie :-/ Nonetheless, the hyper-criticism needs to stop. If caricatures can exist in Oscar winning films like Django, then why dismiss Tyler Perry's efforts. I see an Oscar nomination in the future :-) And I'm not being sarcastic. Perry is capable of producing quality work, he just needs to invest in the craft more. How many other people are doing what he's doing? He deserves much more respect.

The movie was great! I enjoyed it and it gives you something to think about! Although you could sometimes figure out what was going to happen next, there were situations that really "surprised" you! I would suggest that you try not to read tooooo deep into it because always remember, the movie is only giving you realities of life and everyone's situations are different! In the end, "karma" is REAL in life!

I say almost, if it wasn't for the comfortable seats and the great nap I got, it would be the worst movie I've seen. The script/dialogue was lame at best and the acting was worse, especially big butt Kim, or whichever K sister it was. The lead acress was hot though.
Besides a few white females in the audience, I was the only white dude, which is fine, my best friend is black, but it was weird at the stuff the audience laughed at, I didn't see one reason to crack a smile through the whole movie except for when the person behind me woke me up by shaking my chair. Sorry if my snoring bothered anyone, but that had to be more funny than anything in the movie the audience laughed at.

This is a very thought provoking film with great actors who draw you into the story quickly. It is a great reminder that evil is not in an ugly package but good looking, intelligent and slicker than butter. Temptation begins with just a little dig at your unhappiness and escalates. A good discussion starter for relationships!
