    Surprisingly Good

    This movie was entertaining, had good dialogue, good acting, and the plot was fairly tightly woven. I'm ashamed to say, I was surprised. Perry scaled back his usual melodramatic hysteria in favor for a more subtle approach. This movie was also far less preachy than his previous efforts. I think Mr. Perry is actually starting to listen to his detractors. He turned a few stereotypes on their head, and fleshed out his characters better here. It's nice to see he's trying to grow because I had my doubts after his last few efforts.

    Overall, two thumbs up. This is a solid mainstream movie that can hang with the rest of the formulaic romantic comedy-dramas that come out.

    I enjoyed the movie, a little different from other projects he has done, I would definite go see it again and will buy the DVD once it comes out

    AWESOME!

    Being a complete Tyler Perry fan...this was just another fantastic piece of work from Mr. Perry. Unlike his past movies, this one was a tear-jerk-er. It was a very serious message that would make anyone rethink their lives. It shows you what can happen when you live your life for someone other than yourself. Do what makes YOU happy, and good things will come to you.
    There are a couple of scenes that would not be appropriate for young kids, it does have a PG-13 rating for a reason. Tyler always excels in his acting, writing and directing.
    There were a couple very obvious "mistakes" that caught our eye. Nothing that effects the quality of the movie, but always fun to catch. (example: car has a license plate on the front, then it does not, then it does again.)
    This is a must see, not only for Tyler Perry fans, but movie goers in general.

    Good Deeds was GREAT!

    Tyler Perry has yet to disappoint me, but this film goes right up there to one of my favorites of his movies. I definitely recommend seeing it AND purchasing it when its released on DVD. We enjoyed it from beginning to end.

    Enjoyable date movie

    I couldn't imagine Tyler Perry as a romantic lead - but he did such a tremendous job acting that you embraced his character. The story line was excellent and tears even flowed watching this movie. One of his best movies -- always a message -- this message resonated for all couples dealing with complexities of interpersonal relationships - siblings, parents and girlfriends. A good movie to take a loved one - even a teenager- lots of discussion groups should take on this movie
    for its social issues.

    I really enjoyed this movie. It was a love story, which was a different role that we are used to seeing Tyler Perry playing. I recommend that everyone goes out to see this movie!!!

    Must do a double take!

    This is the best Tyler Perry movie yet. It is far from the typical Madea type "stuff". This movie will make you laugh, cry, think, and reflect. I loved it from beginning to end and I plan to see it again this weekend.

    Tyler Perry's Good Deeds

    This was a exciting and captivating movie with off the chart acting. It has a wonderful story line that captures real life drama. It gives real life bounderies and successes. The portrayal of real life characters were wonderfully exicuted by all. The height of recognition is deserved by all cast members and the entire movie making structure behind this film. Tyler Perry is a "God Sent Treasure" to world entertainment. My wife, my son, my daughter and I thank him so much for not sleeping the magnificent talents and gifts he embodies!!!

    i really enjoyed this movie.Overall the acting, directing, cinematography was quite good. I would say this movie can be viewed by all ages. Maybe I would have changed the ending to have the his mother present the 2 passengers in a accepting way at the end.

    The best movie that families can see with no nudity

    I just saw this movie today I loved it it was funny hilarious romance no nudity a awesome movie Tyler perry did a fantastic job this is his first movie that I have seen him in so I say it's a must see movie for families the movie is Tyler Perry's best movie he did a best and great and excellent job directing the film and thandi newton did a great job too the movie was a feel good movie I loved the movie a lot I plan to see it again

    I loved the fact that there was no Male Bashing, No BLACK WOMAN FIGHTING ATTITUDE and how they mutualy decided that they were BOTH living a Lie. Well done Tyler!

    Good Deeds: Tyler Perry

    I think this follows the same "Capt. Save A H-e" concept that Tyler seems to always follow in his movies. He knows that this formula puts women's behinds in those seats at the theater. His role in this film will allow you to see him in a different light. He is more masculine, more pronounced in this movie than in other movies he has made. DO NOT expect Madea in this one. She is on vacation. You will like this portrayal of Tyler from the comedian side to the more serious actor.

    However, the other characters overcompensated quite a bit. Gabrielle Union did a wonderful job, while Brian White was truly given a role that was high strung... it made you want to strangle him every time he spoke.

    Thandie Newton used every muscle in her face to pull off this role, but she was enjoyable.

    This is a good movie to go see. I will be buying it when it comes out.

    I really enjoyed the film. Acting, directing was great. I think the movie is age appropriate. The movie had a geat ending. I really enjoyed the movie I would go and see it again.

    Just Beautiful

    In the classic Tyler Perry style, this movie has a great storyline and life lesson. I personally would not have pictured Tyler as a leading romantic man (because I always think of Madea), however, this movie shows yet another level of this over-the-top talented man. I saw this movie during a Girl's Night Out gathering, but, will most definately be seeing it again with the hubby.

    This movie is a must see!
