I honestly fell in love with the characters and story from the books. I was apprehensive at first about who was going to play Edward, thinking that whomever it was that snagged the role couldn't be a well-known actor. In my mind's eye, the man would have to be absolutely phenomenal; outside and in. I just couldn't fathom that there would be someone out there that would pull off being the vampire I so desired from the books. At first, I didn't recognize Robert Pattinson as Cedric from Harry Potter...even though I own the movie! Thinking, "There's a face I don't exactly mind looking at", I began to let Robert Pattinson's Edward take the place of the wonderfully foreign concept of the perfect man that I had originally envisioned. This is the reason of his overwhelming success as it were. Hard to imagine what it would be like to simply put colored contacts in, have hair fixed up in a beautiful disarray, pale make up applied, and viola: Edward. "You don't know how long I've waited for you."

Ugh! what can I say that's GOOD about this movie? not much. If the chick didn't actually tell you this was a vampire movie, other than the supernatural speed, you'd never know there were any vampires in it. What a disappointment. I'd say it's more of a teenie bopper movie.

i think there are going to be alot of tweeks and twists to the storyline in the movie but if you take is as another blockbuster then it should be just that...i dont think we should get wrapped up in comparisons and matching the book and the movie because its never going to happen...you are never going to find a movie that outdoes the book or is JUST like the book...so anticipate it, love it but most of all appreciate it for what it is....its the move Twilight...not the book.... :D

I wonder if Stephanie Meyer watched the movie before it was put in theatres because I would't be suprised if she cried. WTF was the director thinking? did she freakin' read the book? When ever I read the book I think of Kirsten Stuwart (Bella) who, by the way is a terrible actress and for me, ruined the movie. She's in too many movies, I wished they picked a different actress. Whoever did casting was taking more then snoop dogg quantities. The only cast that I liked was Alice, Emmett, Jasper, partially Edward I guess at least he can act and fake an American accent I also liked when he said "I'm on a special diet" LoL!! I hope book readers aren't too dissapointed. Lets see what they make of new moon...... BTW..... Not enough romance! What happened to the meadow scene? That was the best scene in the book! I am soo Blown
