Hosted by waspish British TV critic Victor Lewis-Smith, TV Offal was a wildly irreverent current-events series, its material (written by the star) skirting the libel laws at every possible opportunity. Regular features included "Kamikazi Karaoke" (deliberately bad imitations of self-important rock stars), "Assassination of the Week" (phony obituaries for still-living celebrities), "The Gay Daleks" (redubbed Dr. Who episodes), and "Pilots That Crashed" (TV series pilots, that is). Also included were a steady stream of cheap industrial films and tacky commercials, as well as Lewis-Smith's trademarked crank phone calls to the Rich and Famous.
