I didn't have high expectations for Turbo, but I had faith in DreamWorks's ability to get me interested in snails and left turn racing. I wasn't let down. Turbo turned out to be a modern, heartwarming, and entertaining animated movie.
Turbo opens well, but drags a bit until the middle of the movie. The comedy is great as are the visuals (though the visuals aren't up to Pixar's level). This movie also has a great soundtrack.
Turbo held the attention of all the kids in the theater. There's some mild violence and a comical perceived death of a predatory crow.
Turbo is a feel good story that's well executed. With Monsters University and Despicable Me 2 still in theaters, I'd recommend Turbo for younger audiences. If presented with the three, I'd see Monsters U 1st, Despicable Me 2 second, and Turbo a close 3rd.
There are some fun scenes that interact with the credits and a scene in the middle of the credits

What started out as a movie that I had very little interest in, turned out to be one of the best kids movies I have seen. It was FANTASTIC. From the start to the end, you find your self intrigued by this snail who wants to be more than "just" a snail. It was a feel-good, heartwarming story that had my whole family cheering at the end.

Mildly entertaining. We had afew laughs but I can say that I don't think I would want this movie as a kiddo's favorite. I would get more than tired of it.

I took my grandson age 5. He really liked it. He was very happy with the ending. I am glad I took my G/S. I will be taking him to more. Enjoyed the 3-d. Digital would of been ok too. You should see it.

This delightful movie is charming, funny, clever and has a great story to tell with sympathetic characters, both human and snail. I was wary of a cartoon--I went with my grandchildren--but it was as enjoyable as Toy Story, which was the last cartoon feature I ever saw. All the G rating means is that everyone can enjoy a wonderful movie! The 3-D effects were spectacular--and despite it being about a snail who dreams of racing in the Indy 500, my 9 year old granddaughter enjoyed it just as much as my five year old grandson. And my 40 year old daughter. And me.
We were shocked that the theatre was so uncrowded--which is a shame. This movie should be a smash, and I hope it is!
