This was definitely a cute movie. A little boring in the beginning, but overall cute. I took my 9 and 12 year old, but the 12year fell asleep, so not really great for pre-teens/teens.

My seven-year-old enjoyed the movie from start to finish. Because we saw it in Real3D, he enjoyed the effects even more.
The effects were the best aspect of the movie from the adult standpoint. The story, however, was very slow at the start and by mid-movie, the pace had picked up somewhat leading to the expected climax. Thankfully, this movie is relatively short.
In short, your kids will love it but prepare to be a little bored yourself until mid-film.

A good film of a Snail that gets his wish to go fast. good images of getting into the engine and having some of the power. finding friends in the little group of stores. Taco stand, beauty shop, garage and shop.

My 5- and 9-year old girls definitely enjoyed it. It didn't create the buzz around the house like Despicable Me 2 (minion toys everywhere now) or Monsters University (MU activity books scattered about), but worth the price of admission to see it in 3D--even for my wife and me.

We saw the 3D version and it was super fun and as fast paced as the title! The snails all have such extreme personalities. This even kept my fidgety 4 year old daughters' attention and I'll admit at one point, we both got a bit teary eyed for the little guy.
