I am surprised by the number of negative ratings for this movie. I found the acting to be very good. The female lead is a natural and there is nothing forced in her line delivery or affect. I didn't know anything about Justin Timberlake except that I was not a fan of his music until I saw him on SNL and thought he was good at delivering comedy and not a bad actor. He did a nice job in this film.
Clint Eastwood has become a bit stiff in his old age, but he IS Clint Eastwood and I like him.
Baseball fans will enjoy the plot and those looking for a love story and family dynamics story will like it. It is a good film without being too corny. It is appropriate for most age groups (perhaps over the age of 13 or so). There is no sex, but some bad language.
Go see it.

I went into this movie thinking it would be an at best a D+ dud as Clint Eastwood is aging rapidly! ( although I still LOVE him!) I was pleasantly surprised with how good the movie was AND made me feel upon leaving! Clint Eastwood STILL HAS IT even at his tender older age!! Even though his gruff character was a little depressive and grim alot of the time (but comical at the same time), he pulled it off making it a 'feel good' movie! I was glad I made the choice to go see it and I recommend it to all!

What a wonderful, caring, delight. The cast is fantastic, I didn't think Clint Eastwood could outdo his performance in Grand Turino but he managed it once again! What a fabulous movie.

At first I didn't know what to expect from this movie but once I heard that Clint Eastwood was in it I knew I had to see it. This movie is funny, dramatic, and sad at the same time and surprisingly Justin Timberlake does an excellent job. All in all, GO SEE THIS!

I liked this cute movie. Amy Adams is adorable and Timberlake surprisingly cute and grounded. Clint is showing his age and trying to be funny sometimes he gets lost. Good acting by everybody though. This film is not about baseball and children would not be amused with the plot. It was entertaining and it's not a comedy nor a full drama. Clint Eastwood fans will get the most enjoyment out of it.
