Brilliant
I'll be blunt: This movie is absolutely hilarious. It's also pretty offensive, but that never stopped me from laughing. The movie industry at large is brilliantly lampooned, from insane method actors (Downey Jr playing an Australian playing a black man) to the insane producers that put up the money (A brilliant and horrendously foul mouthed Tom Cruise. My God is he hilarious). Animal rights, 'retard' movies, agents... It's all here to great effect
The action scenes and cinematography are very well done. The jungle environments are vibrant and full of life, and really pop off the screen. The gun fights are thankfully over the top, and fall well in line with the rest of the film. Despite that, the film doesn't really feel consistent. The pacing is uneven, and not all the jokes hit (Nor are they all understood, either). The film starts to drag a bit later as well. The opening 'previews' are perhaps the best part of the film
Black is criminally underused, and Downey steals the show
