    Balanced Christian Movie

I didn't know this was a Christian movie before I went in. I am not religious but found this movie to have many good messages for teens to see. It was balanced in it's representation of religion. There was no "holier than thou" attitude.
The movie has very low production values but good acting and a good, though hectic, story line.
I think most teens (not just Christians) would benefit from watching this and most of them would relate to it well.

    Christian Mom of Teens

As a mom of teens and a professional who works with teens, I found this movie to be realistic dealing with problems that are common among today's youth. To Save A Life generated great conversations and created a desire in my own kids to reach out to others around them who are hurting. GREAT movie!!! Highly recommend!! Wish more theaters were playing the movie!

Must see for ALL TEENS AND PARENTS!!

Awesome movie!! I took my youth group to see To Save A Life. 23 out of 23 teenagers didn't like it, they LOVED it! Seriously, how many movies do 23 teens from 6-12 grade agree they love?!?! A 6th grade boy and a sr. high boy both told me "it was a great movie, even though I kept crying." Another sr. high boy told me they liked it better than Avatar! I think it was because the movie was so real to them. They weren't afraid to shine light on real issues that teens face but also showed the path of life transformation. Everyone found one or two characters they related to. Very inspiring! Every teen and parent needs to see this movie!! This is the second time I saw it and it was even better than the first! Great acting, great story line. Overall just a great quality film.

    Awesome Movie

First of all, I'm 17. I thought this movie would be totally lame, but after I watched the trailer I was really psyched about it. The movie was so awesome and dealt with real life issues, plus it has a great soundtrack. Everyone that I know who saw it loved it too. I would recommend this movie to all teenagers and adults!

    My favorite movie now.

I saw the trailer for this movie and thought it might be interesting so I went with my sister. I never would have guessed it would have been as incredible as it was. It does indeed stand out from other movies, and not only that, but it is so realistic. I am a sophomore in high school, and I can relate to everything that happens. After the movie, I cried the entire way home, and spent the whole night thinking about my life. It is definitely worth while to see. I have recommended it to all my friends. See it; you won't be disappointed.

Great story with an even better message

I had heard mixed reviews about the movie, some thought it was "to christian" and others thought it didn't give enough of the gosple. however when I saw it I really just was more convicted by the message of the move just about the value of human life. The acting was excellent I totally forgot that it was a low budget film. Over all I really enjoyed it. I saw it with my whole family and everyone definitely though it was worth seeing. There was one scene that makes it difficult to see with kids a scene towards the beginning the lead couple in the movie are at a party and end up in bed together. And there are a few mild cuss words used. Overall I would give this movie a 9.5 of 10!

    Not another Cheesy movie...

Yes, I'm a Christian...BUT...I'll admit that I was expecting another cheesy-Jesus loves you-repent or go to hell movie. This movie is so much more than that. It doesn't preach at you hardly notice the Christianity in the film. This movie will really open the eyes of every teen, youth leader, and parent in America.

If you want to know the life of teens...

I have worked with teens and their families for the past 20 years and rarely have I seen a movie that so accurately captures what many of our teens face daily in life. Unlike many movies, this one does not only focus on what can and does go wrong along with the relavant consequences, it also shows a lot about what teens can do to help those around them overcome those circumstances and situations.

For myself, I took a group of my daughter's friends to see this movie and it was an experience I would repeat over and over if I could. It has opened a lot of doors to communication, allowing this group of teens to talk about their real lives - not just the public appearance they put on every day - but the gut honest - this is my life.

As a parent/educator the situations depicted didn't suprise me. I hear the stories every day. But if you want to see just how easy it is to make a difference, then this is a must see.

    honest & hopeful

Loved that the movie dealt with teen issues and christianity in an honest way. They did not shove Jesus down the audience throats, but they touched on important parts just enough to make one curious. They also didn't sugar-coat the christian faith, or the unrealistic expectation that once you are a believer life will be wonderful!
The movie was shocking at times as they flagrantly & graphically addressed teen sex, drugs, alcohol, self-abuse, & of course suicide. NOT for elementary aged kids, & questionable for even middle-schoolers. I took my 12 year old and he loved it, however I didn't like that he may have been exposed to things he wasn't aware of yet (cutting, drinking games, etc.)
I think "To Save a Life" has such an important message and will make even the most negative teen think about their life and how they treat others, even if they don't embrace the christianity aspect.

An Amazing Film. 4 Teens 4ever!

Don't listen to the haters who posted only negative reviews. I checked, and the majority of those who rated the movie poorly were ages 18-25 and a few slightly older. I, however, am a teenager. The acting was *impressive* for an *indie film,* the cinemetography was pretty cool, with unique, indie style elements. But ignore all that. If you are a teen, GO SEE IT! It changed my life. I was a cutter, as were many of my friends. We went to see it as a group (no, not a "youth group," just friends), and were BLOWN AWAY at how realistic it was in its portrayal of highschool life. It PULLED NO PUNCHES about CUTTING, DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, DRUGS, PARTYING, DEATH, LOSS, and pretty much every other problem we deal with as students. I will never view my life, or the lives of my friends the same. No one ever before has talked to us teens like this. Goodbye fluffy disney channel portrayals of "he said, she said." This movie was PWN! (4 teh geex thtz: pwnxorz 4 teh WIN! 4ever IMMD!)
