Joyful, Rich, Thoughtful - GO!

Following on his 'Midnight In Paris', 'To Rome With Love' is a wonderful film, with gentle thoughtful humor intertwined with rich metaphor, playing out amongst the magical ancient runis within contemporary Rome. A romantic, visually beautiful, metaphorically beautiful (if you're bright enought to understand and appreciate it) holiday in Rome !! The geater your appreciation of metaphor, historical sites in Rome, and varied relationships and romance, the greater will be your enjoyment of this film. It is obvious that Woody Allen, and all the players (Roberto Begninio, Alex Baldwin, etc.) were enjoying making this film ... I suspect this period of Woody Allen's own life is relatively joyful ... it comes through strongly with these two latest films !!

A must see

This film is a must see. Nothing is sacred and Woody Allen pokes fun at everything from reality shows to "social media". A great look at the current celbrity culture of being famous for no reason and the ridiculous growing cukture of sharing everythumb nail we get on "social media". I loved it.

Brilliant writing Good acting Witty Dialogues Beautiful photography Editing could have been better. It's a Woody Allen movie and it doesnt fail to impress. Go with an open mind and have fun. P.S.: If you've never been to Rome, you'll fall in love with the city and want to go. If you've been there before, you'll fall in love with it all over again.

So, it is not the best movie ever made. The theatre was full and everyone was belly laughing during certain scenes. The humor is of the absurd (almost slapstick) variety. The movie is composed of vignettes of people living in or visiting Rome. Rome is the real star! Very enjoyable evening.
