Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas in Disney Digital 3DCritic Reviews

THE FAMILY FILMGOER ® by Jane Horwitz

Re-release of magical, scary-but-funny 1993 stop-motion animated treat about king of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington, who kidnaps Santa so he can "do" Christmas himself, though he's far too creepy for the job; film's characters already look rather three-dimensional in original version, so new 3-D edition (with special glasses) may unnerve some kids 8 or younger who take visual trickery literally. Shrunken head; villain whose body swarms with bugs; rag doll who tears off her limbs; mad scientist who opens his skull to scratch his brain.
