Born Matilde Sofia Albrecht de Vidal-Quadras in Argentina, Tilda Thamar appeared in a number of French 1950s crime thrillers. During the 1940s, she performed in a pair of films by Pierre Chenal, Todo un Hombre (1943) and El Muerto Falta a la Cit (1944).
