Great balance of action and character introspection

Tiger and Bunny has always been unique in that is treats it's super heroes like normal humans going to a job, as in they are people with their own persona issues and relationships to work out, who happen to be super heroes. Rising does a great job at maintaining that staple, but as an action fan, I was throughly blown away by the action/fighting sequences and animation throughout the film, for which there are many, surprisingly. Probably some of the best action sequences in the entire franchise. The villains kind of felt cobbled together and had really shallow/small back stories/motives, and while the final battle is incredibly climatic, animated fantastically and full of fan service, the resolution seems a bit muted. The new hero, Golden Ryan, plays his part well, without being overly cliche, which is common in anime. Still, fans of tiger and bunny, and fans of anime in general, will not be disappointed by this film.

This film was hilarious and inspirational. As with many anime movies, it brought in a silly crowd who uwed and awed at all of the right moments. I recommend this movie even if you have not yet seen the series, but I hear seeing the series is still a must do, even after seeing the movie.
