See it for Loki and to see where Marvel is going (SPOILER ALERT)

If you're looking for a movie that furthers the development of Thor as a character, you've chosen the wrong movie. The plotline was relatively feeble, the villain was average, and the power balance between Thor and Maliketh never seemed to be equal. So why do you have to go see this movie? Tom Hiddleston! His acting was brilliant and his character outshone the entire cast. Also, if you want to stay up to date on where the Avengers movies may be going, a certain collector is given a certain gem by two of Thor's companions. This gem is one of five others. For you comic book nerds out there, you know what's going to happen, but if you have no clue of what happens in comics just sit back and watch. Marvel is setting up for something big.

I enjoyed this movie. the characters had their moments, and it developed Asgard more. I will say some scenes and dialogue seemed a little odd, and the movie did take some time to get up to full stride. But over all I was entertained. be sure to stay for the stingers.

Incredible. The extent of the audience's emotional investment is Thor's best success.

When I watch Marvel movies like Thor, Captain America, etc., I put aside the comics and focus only on the movie. In this case, rating it solely on the movie alone - it was pretty incredible. It had a healthy balance of humor, sadness and grief, as well as thrill and action. It played at your heartstrings, tugging your emotions incessantly -- one second, you could be smiling sweetly at a romantic scene and, the very next, laughing at Loki's silly jokes. Even the harrowing, grief-filled scenes were outstanding. Many scenes left me gasping in both surprise and sadness. While I never did cry (thankfully), it did cause me to choke up a couple times. More than anything, it does a great job playing with your mind. Which Loki is the real Loki? The man who saves others -- or the one who destroys worlds? The one who loves his mother, or the one who doesn't have a mother? And what happened at the end? The movie leaves you with a ton of questions -- always fun for a fan. It is a must-see.

I recommend seeing this movie... Wasn't sure how it was going to hold up to the first, but it was done well... Good action and little too much comedy, but my wife loved the comedy aspect...
