Confusing plot, sumptuous cast

Could have been so much more if it hadn't focused on sci-fi space-ship fighting scenes. Catered too much to an intended audience and ignored the rich story-telling and character development that was possible. Too many artificial twists.

For all those of you who liked Thor and eagerly waited for the sequel. It is stands tall and is hands down the best Marvel movie of the year .. yes beating Iron Man 3. TIP : Do not leave the theater after the titles, you will miss the bonus :)

Usually the sequel to a movie isn't that great but the marvel series movies have been insanely unique that way. This is another MUST GO SEE movie to the saga of Thor, his family, his love of Jane Foster, Asgard and the nine worlds. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed Thor the Dark World. It was great fun. The scenes with Thor and Loki bickering were the best. This movie was funnier than the first Thor movie.

Marvel and Disney's Splendor

With my wife and myself are NOT true fans of the original marvel comics. We do enjoy the Marvel cinematic universe so we anticipated greatness from the creators of the Avengers and Iron Man 3 films. They have delivered and achieved that forte, but not AS great as Iron Man 3. There were a couple of unexpected twists, and we quite enjoyed this movie. It was worth the money to see Thor 2: TDW in 3D. There is no real cliffhanger in the end, other than seeing a familiar face appear right before the credits. It was expected since Marvel anticipates to create more movies of Avengers, Thor, etc. Remember to stay for the extra scenes during and after the credits and bring the whole family.
