Mostly for Tom Hiddleston

What you read in the reviews is true: most of the movie is just okay, lots of fighting and random explosions. But every time Loki is on screen, the movie is sharp, funny, and moving. I quite like Hemsworth, especially in the original Thor and again in Avengers. But the character isn't nuanced enough to carry another movie alone. Fortunately, he doesn't have to. There's also a great Captain America trailer right before the main feature starts.

Awesome movie, better than the first.

I loved the first Thor movie, but this one is better. Action, comedy, and some drama. It has it all. This is probably the 3rd best Marvel movie ever behind Avengers, and Iron Man 1. Go see it in 3d. The Captain American and Xmen trailers ar worth it.

Confusing plot, sumptuous cast

Could have been so much more if it hadn't focused on sci-fi space-ship fighting scenes. Catered too much to an intended audience and ignored the rich story-telling and character development that was possible. Too many artificial twists.

I enjoyed Thor the Dark World. It was great fun. The scenes with Thor and Loki bickering were the best. This movie was funnier than the first Thor movie.

Marvel and Disney's Splendor

With my wife and myself are NOT true fans of the original marvel comics. We do enjoy the Marvel cinematic universe so we anticipated greatness from the creators of the Avengers and Iron Man 3 films. They have delivered and achieved that forte, but not AS great as Iron Man 3. There were a couple of unexpected twists, and we quite enjoyed this movie. It was worth the money to see Thor 2: TDW in 3D. There is no real cliffhanger in the end, other than seeing a familiar face appear right before the credits. It was expected since Marvel anticipates to create more movies of Avengers, Thor, etc. Remember to stay for the extra scenes during and after the credits and bring the whole family.
