I really liked this movie, I wasn't expecting it to be 2 hours long but it was enjoyable all throughout. It was really funny and I think its a perfect date night movie, something the guy and the girl will definitely enjoy.

Just ok...

Took a long time for the plot to develop...never felt like it really ever exposed itself. There are some ridiculously funny (and ridiculous) scenes in the movie, but felt like there was too much use of the F word, just for the sake of using the F word. All in all...I wish I would have spent the money to see something else. Definitely not for kids!

Funny and Honest about 40s

First, let me just say that I just turned 40 and this movie is spot-on honest about the negative aspects of nearly being old. The family that's the focus of the film is referred to by one of the characters as being like a family in a bank commercial, which is to say that they're pictures perfect. The husband is played very well by Paul Rudd and the wife by the hot Leslie Mann. There are also 2 daughters that are always fighting, and the grandparents from both sides are either guilty of being absent from their lives or around and asking for money. As you might expect, sex is also up for discussion along with the purple pill. Anyway, the story move along nicely and the jokes are plentiful. I really enjoyed all the 40s jokes, but beyond that it's full of well-crafted scenes, many of which are hilarious.

Funny Documentary for age 40 life

This movie nailed the trials of age 40 married life on the head. Old enough to have teens, young enough to still get pregnant, it's a whirlwind of responsibility and irresponsibility and it's all very very funny and sad at the same time. I love that this movie gets the idea that it's problems don't have to be resolved to make an entertaining movie. the sadness and the drama are all part and parcel of the happiness package. movie takes all of this accurate reflection of the state of 40 age affairs and packs it into hilarious anecdotal scene after anecdotal scene. there's very little story structure. i'm pretty sure the creators just brainstormed every iconic snippet of 40s life, and threw it in caricature form into one week of these people's lives. and it is just very very funny. go enjoy!

I thought it was going to be the same old story, but it was better than I expected. I needed a good laugh and I could definitely relate to this movie. Two thumbs up!
