Need to cool the F bomb and the C word! Otherwise I had a great time - and laughed all the way through it. Paul Rudd continues to be a highlight in all his films. Love the twinkle in his eyes! Leslie Mann gives a believable performance - she's having a breakdown over turning 40. Wish there had been more of Melissa McCarhty. What a great comedic talent. Don't see this if you have a problem with crude. Do go if you need a laugh. I got my money's worth.

Fabulous movie if you're in this lifestage

Very hilarious and a bonding marital movie for my hubby and me. The take away for us was that we were not so different than others in our lifestage--the stereotypes were so dead on that we were a bit uncomfortable (ie. sitting on the toilet playing Scrabble on his phone). We laughed so hard and will recommend to our friends in their 40's with kids. I do wish the F-bombs and cursing would have been used less frequently. It was excessive and had no humor because of the overuse. Great life-stage movie!

When I saw the movie was over 2 hours I thought "Oh No", but the movie was funny, fast paced, you could identify with the different characters because we all have family and memories that were portrayed in the story. I would see it again and very seldom do I watch movies twice.

Very Disappointed

Talk about depressing. This slow moving dramady had me so tense and depressed that I wanted to walk out. The laughs were few and far between, and the main charactor had nothing but bad luck. Several people walked out about 30 min into the flick. This movie was FRUSTRATING to watch, to say the least. Rent it for a buck when it comes out on DVD if you're really curious. But, let me tell you, you'll want your money back. SPOILER ALERT>>>> Why the heck made Judd Apatow think that we'd want to see a movie where the main charactor looses his house and business, becomes totally bankrupt at his 40th birthday party, has to sell his home, uproot his family, AND, on top of everything else, finds out he has a 3rd child on the way? and another spoiler alert>>>>>> I had no sympathy for the Paul Rudd charactor. Were we supposed to? On top of everything else he was the main cause of everything that went wrong,

I laughed so hard at time I had tears running down my face. It is a great Married Couple movie. Make it a date night and you will be talking about it during the ride home.
