I thought it was going to be the same old story, but it was better than I expected. I needed a good laugh and I could definitely relate to this movie. Two thumbs up!

This movie was hilarious! We really enjoyed it. The writing was brilliant! Definitely not a kids movie, as the language was not appropriate for little ones. Make sure you stay for the out takes, I was laughing so hard I was crying!

Some films are not worthy of the mental gymnastics to critique, or discuss; cutting to the chase, this is a prime example of directorship/writing (Judd Apatow) gone rogue!
I remember 40; it’s been awhile but having limber retentive skills I can reminisce about the “times of yesteryear”; when marriage, children, merited respect, civility and a modicum of maturity, or at least the pretence of adulthood...
In this horrific scenario “Debbie” (Leslie Mann) and “Pete” (Paul Rudd) are children from Hades, cloaked in grown- up facades; their marriage is a sham; existing on primal instincts. Their daughters, “Sadie” (Maude Apatow) and “Charlotte” (Iris Aptow) listen to their foul-mouthed fights and naturally mimic the cacophony of vituperative verbalization...
If “This is 40”, it’s terrifying!

This movie lacks any artistic value. It didn't do anything but make me almost walk out. I will not refer this movie to anyone. Lacks decency and heart about anything that happens at 40. Looked to be a typical stereotypical dysfunctional family in California that lacks direction and proper upbringing. The cursing is absolutely out of bounds, this is not the military, but you would have thought that everyone had been there!!!

AS THE PARENT OF TWO DAUGHTERS, WHO ARE NOW GROWN WITH CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN ON THE WAY, I FOUND THIS MOVIE TO BE PERFECT. THE WRITING WAS SPOT ON. IT WAS A BIT LONG, BUT I WILL GO AGAIN. ALSO, IT WAS CERTAINLY NOT FOR CHILDREN, AT LEAST UNDER 14. BOTTOM LINE I HAVEN'T LAUGHED THAT HARD AT A MOVIE IN YEARS.
