Saw the Wolverine and it was definitely worth watching it in the theater. Hugh Jackman has the character down and the action scenes were really well done. Wolverine is my favorite X-Men character and this movie did not disappoint. Will see it again and am planning on buying the DVD.

If you're a comics fan and have been WAITING to see a great version of Logan, THE WOLVERINE is for you.
PLEASE don't wait for it on home video. I took my 72 year old mother and we both enjoyed it greatly.

Hugh Jackman is so talented, I could watch him read the phonebook so it wasn't hard to watch this latest entry for The Wolverine. However, I found it more like "Secret Agent Wolverine." The fight set pieces are great (just put your mind on hold for the one on the bullet train) but there is a tremendous amount of stereotypical crap concerning Japan and the Japanese people. The film felt 30" too long and got a little stale at the end.
In closing, Jackman is great; script very muddled, terrible acting by the lead actress and Japanese stereotypes about people and culture make it hard to watch sometimes.
As always, there is post-credit scene that teases the new upcoming X-Men film. I hope Logan gets his metal talons back. Kids over 10 OK; no sex scenes, a funny giggle-worth bath scene and not much blood and gore.
There are hat-tips to two other films. Can you spot them? One is for James Bond's "Diamonds Are Forever"....and the other for Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood."

Hugh Jackman, as expected, plays the title role with passion and character. The supporting roles are also well played, and the action is intense though bloody, even gruesome at times. The giant robot is too giant; man-sized would have been more believable. Casual sex? Hollywood seems to think it's always normal, and so of course Wolverine sleeps with the leading lady. Can't people fall in love anymore without jumping into bed? Worst of all, in one of the climactic moments, Wolverine drops a gratuitous F-bomb, an unexpected ambush in a PG-13 movie. Why does Hollywood always insist on "sneaking in" such language? Ratings, once again, seem to be deteriorating. Many parents would think this movie should be rated R.
I rate it "go," but be aware before you go. Also, we left before the surprise in the credits. Stick around so you don't miss the surprise.

The Wolverine was awesome! It was appropriately centered around the Wolverine character and explained quite a bit of his history. Special effects were excellent, and the Wolverine was exactly as expected. Loved the stark contrast between the Wolverine character and the love interest Mariko. I even loved the villain who was perfect in that role. What was really cool wa the Manchurian fighter character. How on earth did they manage to get that thing to move so fluidly? All in all I thought this was one of the best X-Men features yet!
