Just Okay

I am a purist and was hoping for a movie similar in nature to the first Wolverine movie which in my estimation was about a comic book hero(and one of my favorites) in a movie. I got the impression with this movie that it is was a movie with the comic book hero included. It didn't ring true to me and the Japanese setting , the karate moves, the Yakuza, Samurai and ninjas and the inclusion of the Doctor who was actually a mutant....a bit much for one movie. For comic book/Wolverine purists - go see it (so you can see you did) but at a matinee when the tickets are cheaper......

The Wolverine

Wolverine is hands down one of my favorite characters and this movie does not disappoint. It has a well done story line and the visual effects are good. Even though wolverine has healing powers this movie gives a bit more of a human edge to him and is very driven by emotion. Definitely the best super hero film of 2013 to date. I am defintiely looking forward to X-Men: Days of Future Past next year.

I can't believe how they went threw all that about the knife separating the head from the body and then didn't cut the head of the snake (the toxic women).

Hugh Jackman is awesome

Sure, the plot is not strong. In fact, I kept thinking how similar it was to Iron Man. Still, Jackman is worth seeing all by himself.

If you are a true comic book and old school cartoon fan, forget the story line. Keep in mind that this movie stands alone. This movie is full of action, ninjas and Hugh Jackman's muscles. Way better than the last movie.
