Should have been a rated x movie

This movie was basically a porn with a semi-decent story line. The pornographic scenes added nothing to the actual plot line. I would not recommend this movie at all. Leonardo Dicaprio's worst movie.

People disappoint me. Yes there was a ton of nudity, drug use, and sex. The intent of this movie was to show the dark side of obtaining wealth at such a young age and being irresponsible with it. I have read the book and am currently a financial advisor for a major Wall Street firm. This story is the stuff of legends. I have a few advisors who work in my office that used to work for Oakmont Stratton and said that the movie hit it right on the head. Also, having read the books, when i went in i had no idea of how they were going to fit so many good scenes into the movie... 3 hours was appropriate. It could have been a lot longer and still filled with good material. Enjoy the movie for what it is, and dont rate it bad b/c you went to see a rated R movie then was shocked that it had vulgarity and nudity in it. Everyones reality isnt your reality.

Brash, vulgar, complicated, obscene, and I honestly loved every minute of it!

This movie is essentially Scorsese and DiCaprio unleashed! Both let out every tool in their motion picture arsenal to deliver their finest work in cinema to date. The story of Jordan Belfort's rise to and fall from power is as relentless as it gets and the audience should feel every sensation Belfort does even if it makes them feel so wrong about watching it. This movie is for viewers with a high-tolerance for graphic sex, nudity, drug usage, alcoholism and it assaults you from start to finish. The drawback is that so many minor characters are overshadowed by DiCaprio, Hill, Dujardin, Chandler, and the actress who plays Naomi. If I had to describe this movie in one word it would be: unforgettable.

Not for the Faint of Heart: Adults Only

This is an amazing movie experience apparently accomplished by Scorsese allowing the actors to improvise during many scenes. The title character, brilliantly played by Leonardo DiCaprio, goes from first day ******* to the best in a very shaky and shady business. Along the way he makes, hides and spends a ton of money and trains his minions to do the same. This film is very funny, extremely sexual and an arrogant tale of greed, debauchery, hedonism and insensitivity rolled into a very funny and very sad package. If Leo does not win the Oscar for this Jordan Belfort role in which he is on the screen for almost the entire 3 hour length of the movie which was supposedly cut down from the 4 hour first cut, then the Academy should be as ashamed as his character never was. Great supporting cast, too, led by Jonah Hill as his bosom buddy (pun intended), Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey and Rob Reiner. OMG…don't miss it. But don't say I didn't warn the faint of heart to stay away.

Oh shield your eyes, there's a naked woman on the screen!

I feel like the people who are complaining about all of the sexual content aren't mature enough to actually understand it in the context of the entire story. This movie (allegedly) shows the dark underbelly of the wallstreet trading game. That includes drugs, sex, illegal activity, and greed. Sorry if a bakers dozen boobies were enough to distract you from that. I hear Frozen is a really good wholesome flick with pretty colors on the screen.
