This American adaptation of the popular British quiz show features host Anne Robinson, in a rare example of the star of a U.K. television series also appearing in the version aired in the United States. The famously dour Ms. Robinson fields a number of questions to a group of eight contestants; players are weeded from the group after each round of eight questions, until the "weak links" have been eliminated and the two remaining contestants compete for up to $1 million in prize money.
