So smart and gracious. If you're aware of being human, you'll be touched by this movie.
I found The Soloist to be offensive because of the religious overtones. In one scene where a guy was protesting "god" where the main character to make the Atheist look stupid, this scene is offensive to many of us who are rational population. It is crazy that the delusional who believe in god(s) and devil(s) have so much power out there, especially when the most secular societies are those the most peaceful and egalitarian. The US, on the other hand, which has the highest religious population of any industrialized country, also has the highest rates of homicides and incarcerations. I definitely will not recommend this movie to my friends.
Touching but drags on forever.
good movie. great acting. just missing something. GO SEE THE SOLOISTmy grade C+ 6.5/10
Foxx and Downey are incredible actors. I expected so much from this movie. Academy awards out the wazoo. But, after seeing it, I do not see it in this film's future. Maybe it was left on the editing room floor. It's a good film, I expected greatness though.
