Took my granddaughter to see Smurfs -2 for her birthday. Cute movie, but some of the plot lines apparently related to the first movie, so had no idea what they were talking about or who some of the characters were. Kids who like the Smurfs will really enjoy the movie, and it has some laughs in in for parents (or grandparents).
Biggest problem is that apparently Regal thinks that you have to lower the temperature to somewhere south of 60 degrees to show a movie. A/C cut on high just before the movie started and even my granddaughter was complaining about how cold it was in the theater.

This is a great follow up to the original movie.
While the original was family friendly, but entertaining for adults this one is geared more for kids.
I did enjoy the movie!!

There's much to like in this family film which features a clever story line (or lines?), amazing animation effects, good voice talent, and, of course, great live actors, most notably Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris and Brendan Gleeson. Much of the story set in the city of Paris, a wonderful choice on the part of the writers, who also get credit for some of the subtleties throughout the show. On such was the line spoken by Gargamel to Smurfette when he revealed to her that he is her "father" adding: "Search your feelings; you know it to be true". Taken right out of Star Wars Episode V. Don't miss this one; get out there with the whole family!

I was looking forward to it because of some talented actors but even with free tickets I thought it was a waste of money. Plot could not be saved even by good music. The trailer shows the only decent parts of the movie...so save time and money and just watch those.

Took my grandchildren to see this movie yesterday. It is too cute, some really funny parts. The kids were totally involved with the movie, actually belly laughing. I would say go see for yourself.
