Great Family Movie

We took the whole family (kids 14, 12) and grand-parents to this movie. It was a very enjoyable film. After years of being relentlessly pounded by action scene after action scene (Avengers, etc), it was nice to sit on a comfortable theater and to watch a story unfold in measured tones. Cinematography was brilliant. Story was inspiring. No sex, little, if any, cussing. Everyone in our group from 12 to 68 enjoyed the film. Who knew Stiller had it in him to direct like this.

Delightful, Playful Romp that the Whole Family Can Enjoy

I saw this movie with my wife and daughter (home from college on winter break) and we all enjoyed it. Ben Stiller's Walter is vulnerable and decent - and his comic moments are refreshingly subdued. Kristen Wiig is sweet and attractive as Walter's love interest, and she gets a brief opportunity to demonstrate a surprisingly lovely singing voice. Important, if short, roles for Patton Oswald and Sean Penn are hilarious and intriguing, respectively. The rest of the supporting cast does a fine job. The cinematography is, at moments, breathtakingly beautiful. The only weak spot in the movie is the plot, which is a little thin. All told, a very enjoyable way to spend two hours.

My fiance and I really enjoyed this film. The actors in this film were wonderful for the parts played. I would no ttake children to this film as it would be hard for them to follow. I suggest that many go see this film!!

I loved this movie. I would see it again, and I don't usually do that. Ben Stiller was great, as was everyone else. The soundtrack was excellent and the cinematography was stunning. I am a fan of the 1947 version of this film with Danny Kaye, and I still loved the new life that was breathed into this remaking.

Good, but had a few stupid parts

The movie overall to us was a B to a B+, mainly for it's entertainment value, and might have been higher except for some impossible plot points. Walter seems to be able to travel anywhere around the globe in the matter of minutes. He had no problem breathing or for that matter surviving in a light weight coat high in the Himalayas, runs into the person he was looking for on the vast slopes there, and in a really "stupid audience won't get this" scene, he gets great cell phone service up there. The cast selection and acting was very good and again the movie was very entertaining and funny.
