The way movies should be made!

While 2 1/2 hours long, this movie has everything--great acting, directing, story line. Each character is well developed and the story is gripping. It's a dual them--solving an old murder mystery, as well dealing with love and making the right decisions in life at the right time. Foreign movies are so much better made. If this were made in America, it would have been sappy. Highly recommended if you like a movie with lots of meat....it has everything.

The Secret in Their Eyes - Compelling film

Because of some things I read about this film, I expected intrigue. Because of other things, I wondered, romance? It was all of that. This really wonderful film, a film for ADULTS, hurrah, is nuanced, funny, frightening, repressed, yet satisfying. I loved it. The subtitles did not interfere with a thoroughly satisfying evening at the movies. A wonderful story played out with an appealing cast. I am still reflecting about the questions it raised.

Stories still rule

What a pleasure to see a movie with a real strong story and incredible acting. It goes to show that there are still writers, producers, and directors with the capability to create a movie with a strong storyline without the need for special effecs. Time and money well spent.
