I was quite surprised by this little film. A great inspirational film based upon the true events of these four Aboriginal young ladies who CAN SING! A wonderful story brought forth that dealt with how these young ladies (and their white manager) faced the racial/ethnic discrimination from the 1960s. I enjoyed the acting performances and signing from these young ladies! Music has the ability to not only transcend time; but, also, race! Thank you to the filmmakers for bringing the story to the silver screen!

Fabulous film for thoughtful adults. It will entertain you, touch you, make you laugh, weep, think about the absurdities of racial and cultural prejudices. Great performances and direction

Lots to like in this film. Cultural distinction from parallel stories made for the U.S. market is what makes this effort all the more enjoyable. Albeit the film is formulaic at best, it still has broad charm and is warmly entertaining. See this. You'll be glad you did.

This entertaining movie is definitely worth the price of admission. It's well acted, the music is amazing and the story well told. When you learn about the real life Sapphires the movie holds even more meaning. I say definitely go.

It was fast paced and enjoyable. I'm sure it won't win any Oscars but it was sweet and fun! I especially liked David O'Dowd who is also in "Girls". We're going to be seeing a lot more of him.
