Good way to kill a few hours...

    by zmzmkt

As a sales rep for a trucking firm, Joanna experiences increasingly troubling and violent hallucinations when she draws near to a small Texas town. She traces the beginning of her disturbances to a childhood incident when she was 10 years old. She then decides to delve into the dark secrets of a sleepy ranching community to recover her sanity and unmask a killer. Right and wrong are clear-cut concepts in this film - evil is punished, and good ultimately wins out. (My favorite scene is when the main character's punk co-worker is pounded into the ground after he tries to assault her) That said, the plot was predictable, the supporting characters had the personality of cardboard, and the viewer was frequently assaulted with absurd and incongruous action scenes. The scares were cheap (imagine someone sneaking up behind you and yelling "BANG"). This is mainly a chick flick - it requires enough attention from the viewer to connect the very large dots.

    Liked It!

This is a thinker's movie. Not fast-paced but interesting. You have to pay attention, and when you do the surprises mount. If you don't like thinking, you won't like this one.

    Loved the ending!

    Where is this movie going?

The plot is revealed in the last few minutes but should have been developed throughout the movie.  A lot of shaky and unsteady camera shots from the victims perspective makes some scenes difficult to /****p>
