Loud from start to finish and sloppy directing

John Cusack is the only good thing in "The Raven." He is well cast as Poe and fights to salvage the movie. Unfortunately, the script is weak and the directing make watching this film akin to sitting through a 2 hr music video starring Edgar Allan Poe.

I have always liked Poe, but always hated poetry! This movie was a great thriller and used all of his famous poems in the killings! It is a movie that you should see!

We really enjoyed the movie. The reviews that we read weren't very good but it just goes to show you that you can't believe everything that you read. We thought that John Cusack did an excellent job playing Edgar Allan Poe. We were very much involved in the movie and it kept us interested thru out the entire movie. We would definately recommend seeing it.

What can I say.. I found the movie atmospheric and evocative. I love films that aren't simply formulaic pablum and this movie surpassed my every expectation. Well worth seeing and highly recommended.

John Cusak Is Good

I'm into horror movies, creepy, strange, grim and all kinds of horror genre. I like this one because of John Cusak. He played a good role, giving it a sense of human decency that seemed to go hand in hand with the killer he was up against. I like Edgar Allan Poe and if you do too i'd consider going to see this one.
