  I didn't really like this movie.

  Just too much of a downer for me. I found myself ff through most of it. It seemed just too predictable although it did happy ending, which I liked. Will Smith's real life son was cute as a button, and Will himself, as always, a pleasure to watch. The movie just didn't do it for me. I give it a C+ for the happy ending.

  Great! Will Smith and his son were electric together. One the "feel good" movies of the year, even though getting to the feel good part was pretty tough.

  it must run in the family

  Will Smith and Jada sure passed on some good genes to their son. He's adorable AND talented - he absolutely steals the show. I really enjoyed this movie. There were some frustrating moments where it seemed like Will's character was making poor choices, or at least not the ones I would have made. But that's what made the story so great. It did move slow but in the end it was worth it.

  Excellent view!

  This movie was from the heart. The characters live in a hard world, with harsh realities. It does touch the heart. There is some realism when the dad talks harshly to his son. It seems like a hard-luck-turned-success story that many may not be aware happens. Good for the soul!
