Downgraded version of the Exorcist.

There were a few scary moments(without the blood) but they were few and far between. The young Jewish rabbi was an unexpected twist. But the biggest surprise was Kyra Sedgewick in the role of the mother. The movie was too mediocre for someone of her caliber.

I would totally recommend going to see this one! It starts right off about 10 mins in. I thought it was done really well. I thought it had a really good story line and the great actors made me believe it. It had me clenching my hands and face with suspense. LOL!! I was captivated and creeped out. I even went to bed thinking wow! But not for kids. Not sure why some people have given this one a bad review. I was scary and had me creeped out. I thought it was the best possession movie I have seen. I liked it better than the Exorcist. I love scary movies and have seen some bad ones. But this is a MUST SEE!

This movie is really well produced and really engages you in the first half hour however the story is not really great. Very predictable and not mesmerizing.

Kid friendly but not too scary

Kid friendly horror movie about a young girl possessed by the spirit from a Dibuk Box (a Hebrew thing that contains a malevolent entity) goes light on the violence and a bit too heavy on the silly special effects. There are a few genuinely creepy scenes but this probably works best with an audience that is very easily scared. Parents who take their children to PG-13 horror flicks should have no problems with this one.
