Be Possessed to wait for the DVD

The movie itself wasnt a bad movie, but at the same time it really didnt bring anything new to the table for this type of movie with someone being possessed. The story was decent, girl comes into possession of a mysterious box, she opens it, the demon locked inside the box starts to possess her ... nothing really new there. The acting was good all around, a few ok special effects were thrown in there, but the movie itself didnt make you feel anything for the characters themselves, and to me it really failed to deliver any real scare to its audience. I watched the movie from beginning to end and not once did I jump, or sit with anticipation wanting to know what was next around the corner. I have to wonder why with such a change in the movie industry, that movies these days cant compare to "The Exorcist" when it comes to a really scarry movie, anyways, I'd give this 2 out of 4 stars myself, wait for the DVD, and hope you enjoy :)

Enjoyable Possession Demon Movie

I liked this movie despite what some others had said. I thought it was a well-crafted horror movie. I love scary movies and I can honestly say this one was def up there on my list. If you like horror movies as much as I do you'll need to see this one.

It was a good movie I give it a B. I liked the Exorsist and it was an update to that. Its a movie you can watch at home and enjoy. Did not need to go the the theater to see it.

GO SEE IT!!!

OMG!!! This movie was an awesome, scary-*** movie! Kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my fingernails, snuggled under my movie blanket. No fake shots like obvious CG shots. Actors were great. The exorcism was creepy, brought tears of fear to my eyes. I really liked this movie, and would def add to my Scary collection. Sam Raimi did a great job.

I Liked it

It was a good movie to watch. Not much scary but scary enough. It had slight Bollywood touches where the girl is seen slapping herself and dad is blamed for it until the climax of movie. The exorcism scene was well presented and the actors were well chosen. I especially loved the acting of lead girl. Overall once a watch for sure!

it was ok!!!

I expected more from this movie! the acting through out the movie was ok at it's best. I watched a young boy about 8 or 9 sit through this movie with out hiding his face. I needed more scenes showing the thing that was in the little girl.

Don't open any wooden Boxes!

From the beginning it's frightening, then it gets really scary. I wanted to enjoy it more but some people don't know how act at the theater. But that being said I did really enjoy it.

The Possession

If you are into horror films, then you will like this one. Being that it was based on a true story makes it even more interesting. I am sure that the movie was embellished, but that's what a horror film is all about. It was pretty scary, but not too gross like green vomit! The acting was very good

Great Horror Flick...

I enjoy a good horror movie and have not seen a good one in a long time. This one was fun and kept you on the edge of your seat. They really picked a great cast to tell this story and did an awesome job. I will be buying the movie when it comes out on DVD.

It was good

If you've seen the trailer it kinda kills all of the scary or creepy parts. but there are a couple parts that aren't in the trailer that were still pretty creepy. so if you're interested in the exorcist movie you'll like this one because this movie really resembles the exorcist. so if you like like demons, and paranormal stuff you'll like this movie

Great acting, but I was expecting more

This film is better than alot of its kind because of the acting and they do set up the story very well. Over all I would have to say it is worth going to see, although I was expecting a little more. The actress who plays the little girl is awsome and very believeable, she is great. Of course the thearte was full of teenagers talking, making jokes and playing with their phones. this is becoming such a problem that it actually makes me avoid movies like this or any movie that will attract un attended teegagers, how sad is that. I was never able to go and see a movie without my parents. Our future is so much in trouble with these mindless children in charge. They have no respect at all for anyone, too bad the rest of the world will be taking over because of them, so sad that America will take the back seat in the future because of them, after being in the drivers seat for so long.

Classic Horror

This was a great movie. A modern version of The Exorcist but based upon Orthodox Judaism beliefs which in my mind adds some old world fear factor. Unlike the Exorcist this movie gives you a reason as to why the little girl is being possessed and the back story of the "dibbuk" box is just plain creepy. If you have the time to read about the true events that inspired the movie it makes it that much creepier. Overall an enjoyable horror movie.

pretty good

the possession was pretty good but not as scary as i had hoped it would be (then again, im not scared easily). i think it would have been better if there was more of a buildup before she actually got possessed. there werent a lot of pop-ups, which i love. it was still pretty creepy though, with the dybbuk thing and all. so, overall, even if it wasnt that scary it was still really good so definitely go see it!

The movie was good. A lot of suspense, and the story line was very intresting. but the experience was killed by all the peole talking and laughing in the movie theater, it was the cine bistro at dolphin mall in Miami FL
Why will people that cant speak the language go to watch a movie that they cant understand
They were just talking among themself and wont be quiet.
The movie was ruined by all those rude people.
Other than that I recomend to watch the movie. I just hope you guys have a better experience that I did.

Loved it! I love Horror movies and this was better than any I've seen in a while! GREAT actors, especially the possessed girl. And it was suitable for my 16 yr old daughter it was'nt sexual.
