Best Phantom Movie!
This is the best version of The Phantom of the Opera on screen. This version is far superior to the other versions. People might complain it is not like the ALW version, but I like this story better! This is much, much closer to the book than the ALW version. It being a silent film only makes it better, in my opinion. Lon Chaney was a genius. He really knew the character of Erik. He is the only actor I have seen in all of the phantom movies(there are more than 10 of them, I believe) that has captured the essence of the original novel. The only complaint I really have is the ending. Not only because it was changed, but it wasn't fitting.
