Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller were perfectly cast -- Logan and Emma had me fighting back tears in the end and others were crying. The book itself has been my favorite for YEARS, but Stephen Chbosky brought his book to life in a magnificent way. I cannot wait until it comes out on DVD. The Perks of Being a Wallflower was funny, cute, heartbreaking, and definitely a must-see. Thank you to everyone involved for making my favorite book into my new favorite movie!

First, why is this movie in only 221 theatres? WTF. While I was theatre hopping yesterday, looking for the theatre with the 2pm showing of Taken 2, I saw they had this playing at another theatre but I had missed the next showing and it was late so I saw it today. This movie is so fantastic. I was brought to tears and believe me that's a tough feat. I never read the book but I'm going to Amazon right now. If you want to see a great movie, that will make you feel so much you should see this movie now. 221 theatres? Why would they do that?

If you read the book as I have, then you'll really love the movie. Even if you didn't, you'll love it anyway. The author of the novel writing and directing the film was a huge plus. The passion he had for bringing his vision to the big screen helped set it apart from your typical coming of age story.

The beginning of the movie was great. It was all set up very well.
The Sam and Charlie relationship was confused on screen. Instead of a senior-freshmen friendship and crush situation that evolved into something more (like the book) it was more of a flirtation throughout the whole film than ended in a full blown relationship.
The end felt rushed. Craig cheating wasn't brought to light with the drama that was necessary to awaken Sam and make her really see Charlie as an option.
Charlie's breakdown at the end was post-coital? That seemed a bit strange to me, especially for an abuse victim.
Differences from the book aside, the movie was decent. Most moments are captured perfectly, but the ending was too rushed for it to feel like a great film.

This movie is a well executed masterpiece!
The acting is first rate, the characters are wonderful, the sense of being in their time and place is well executed, and we get to see Emma Watson outside of her well known movie character.
The three main leads are just beyond anything I was prepared to expect. Sure, I went to the film to see Emma Watson but I was treated to so much more. I will see this film again too. And I will watch for more films with all three leads too. As Fandango says ....This film is a MUST GO>
