Fans of the book: you have little to fear

When the book first came out, it was well above the average YA fiction out there. It's become de rigeur for outsider, misfit kids to pick up a copy, and I know when the film finally began production, many were worried that it would be a disappointment. Pleased to say that, on the whole, it hit all the right notes. The passion, intensity, self-deprecating humor, sadness--it's all there. There were a few minor plot changes from the novel, but the author was so involved in making this movie that there was no way he was going to abandon his own characters and the principles behind his work. Casting was excellent. The 6 or 7 main teen characters were all very convincing...adults a little more clueless than necessary, but fit the story's purpose. Music was a little anachronistic--would the kids who were so into The Smiths really not recognize David Bowie? Could ANYONE get that excited about "Come on, Eileen"? If you HAVEN'T read the book, but consider yourself sensitive, then go.

Bittersweet but one of the best movies of the year!

This movie was a huge suprise i expected a cute movie but woah this was really emotional and sad at parts! I'll start off by saying the cast is awesome and the acting is top notch. now that i got that out the way another thing that this movie has iis that it is a smart high school comedy most high school comedys are just over the top and crazy but this movie was so grounded and emotional and i liked that. I also liked how they gave you hints of charlieschildhood throughout the movie and at the end boom connects and ties up all the loose ends and this movie actually is really accurate and modern because a lot of things that are in this movie still actually happen today in schools unlike some movies were bullys do things that are "old school" . Paul rudd was so different in this movie he's usually the funny guy but he was so serious and i limed his role because it shows that he's not juat the funny man!. I would give this a 8.5/10

The perks of being a wall flower is amazing. Ezra miller just keeps surprising me on how awesome he is every time I watch a film he's in.

An amazing movie, definitely worth seeing. It will blow your mind. The music is great and fits the scenes perfectly. Plus Emma Watson is in it and she looks great.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower Movie Review

100 out of 100 Emotionally dazzling, beautiful, power, heart-breaking and often-funny with a mature tone to a story about a young freshman haunted by his past and living in the new world and becoming their own person. A winning film about the triumph of starting high school and again, the film earns to be in my favorite movie category.
