The Pardon

Went to the Premier last night. An awesome true story, great acting, proves you don't have to have gratuitous sex, violence or language to portray a true story that inovles some degree of all three. I wouldn't hesitate to take 16 and up - great life lessons. Louisiana has come a long way in it's court system since the 1930's. The director, Tom Anton, really brings the period and passion to life.

A beautiful movie of love, tragedy and redemption. A true story of a woman abused as a child who made bad choices and would do anything for love. Could Toni Jo Henry be "pardoned?" Tried for murder in Louisiana in the 1940's, Toni Jo was the first woman who was to be executed. A star studded cast: Jaime King, John Hawkes (Academy Award nominee and Winner of Best Actor in the 2013 Independent Film Awards) , Jason Lewis, T.J. Thyne, Tim Guinee, Leigh Whanell, and M.C. Gainey. You will love the movie and leave surprised.
