    The Painted Veil

    Beautifully shot movie, touching, believable, loved it!!! Love Edward Norton. See it, rent it, whatever - you won't be sorry.

    Great Story

    The Painted Veil, although very long and drawn out, is actually very very good. You start out thinking this is going to be a long flick, but slowly it starts sucking you into the story, mostly due to the talented acting of both stars, Naomi Watts and one of my personal favorite, Edward Norton. You can't help but wonder what's going to happen next and then after it's over you're sitting there thinking, "Wow. That was actually really good!"

    Very good love story

    Very touching and moving film. Ed Norton, and Naomi Watts give excellent performances and the film itself was beautiful. See this film.

    Seriously, this movie again?

    I've heard this movie was made starring Gretta Garbo. It was also made by just about every other victorian director. Really? You're going to make me sit through a transparent plot (seriously, not in love couple, infidelity, fall in love, die, birth) and then broadcast the moments of transparency? ("i don't speak much unless i have something to say" "when will you stop punishing me?", etc., etc.) The dialogue was nothing more than strung together cliches meant to explain things that the competent acting had already explained. Painted veil more like UNpainted veil.
