Train wreck...beg not to be chosen

Skip it! They tried to have everything for everyone: vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, a bit of star wars mythology mixed with bushy eyebrows and teenage angst and it just felt like a mash of nothing. Unsatisfying and honestly not sure who the makers' target audience is suppose to be?!? I wouldn't even pay $2.99 for this as a rental.

Must See for Fans

This is a book adaption, so did they change things? Of course? Was it really good anyway? You bet! Having reread the book just after watching the movie, they kept a lot of the lines from the books which was awesome. Overall, if you're a fan go see it!!! NOW! That way they make good money and we get the sequel!

I LOVED it! I admit that there were some differences from book to movie, and some times it felt rushed, but other than that I loved it. The characters were as I imagined while reading the book. Im really looking forward to city of ashes!!!

Not too bad

The movie was okay, visually it was really cool with some things. The movie was not fully faithful to the book so I didn't appreciate that and most especially my biggest issue with this is the actor that played Jace does NOT fit how he's physically described in the book!!! I've seen this actor in other things before and generally he is unimpressive, but visually with these movies he is very much a no go. If you've read the book or not I'd say it's not bad to watch, but if you want a better story read the books.

Happy Father

I took my 13 year old daughter and we had a terrific father daughter night. Both of us left the theater saying "wow, I really liked that movie" Now neither of us have read the book so we are not comparing book and movie - we are just reporting on the movie as a stand alone. Loved it!
