I LOVED it! I admit that there were some differences from book to movie, and some times it felt rushed, but other than that I loved it. The characters were as I imagined while reading the book. Im really looking forward to city of ashes!!!

Too much important parts were cut out of the movie for the movie to make sense. For those of you that have read the books you'll understand if you do decide to go and see it anyways. Movie not worth the hype

Just like many movies that are made from books, the movie never stays in line with the book. It was nice to have a visual for those that have read the books. There were a few things that I would of liked to have seen more of, but overall the movie was great! Cant Wait for the next one!

Im Done with critics!

First off I would like to say that I loved this movie! The chemistry between Lily Collins, who plays Clary Fray, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Jace, is easy for anyone to see. Also, the story line stayed really close to the books and had its fill of actual quotes from the book, which you don't really see much of. So, forget what the dumb middle aged men critics are say and go see it!

Not bad, but cliche' Gay character, Love Triangle and Incest scare

I didn't read the book, but the movie looked like it would be entertaining, and it was. Great fight scenes, monsters. The character was a bit too damsel in distress for me in the beginning but she got it together in the end. I didn't like the cliche's in the story and felt that author was being lazy on plot to throw in the big 3 hot things of the time (Love Triangle and Gay Character in love with leading guy, and leather) but then my mouth dropped at the possibility that the two in love characters were possibly brother and sister (yuck!) If they'd stayed away from the cliche's it would've been great.
