    Met Opera Turandout

    by bmetz

The opera as wonderful, the theater and the reception/recording
mechanism was awful. There were constant blackouts, bad reception,
jerky pictures......it was just too bad and definitely not satisfactory.
In addition people are arriving 2 hours in advance and saving full rows
of seats. Saving one other seat for a friend or a spouse is certainly
acceptable but 4 to 8 seats at a time is definitely not and should be noted
as such on the tickets. People will st[BLOCKED WEBSITE]ing the evening before just
to save seats !!! This seems to be getting worse as the season progresses.

    Turandot, Met in HD

    by irebob

The production was spectacular, as was the singing.
We missed the first 10 minutes of the 2nd act due to "technical difficulties"
And there were several instances of voice and picture out of sync.
It seems that with all the technology available we could see an entire production without glitches.
