Incredible Experience

We loved watching Tosca on the big screen. We are long time subscribers to Lyric Opera, and find this to be a great addition to the performances we attend there. Patricia Racette, Roberto Alagna and George Gadnidze captivated us not only with their beautiful singing, but also with the passion of their acting. It was great fun to watch the intermissions behind stage. Something we don't see at an opera house performance. It was interesting to see that many members of the audience at this performance were elderly who have difficulty with mobility. We believe they are opera lovers who find it difficult to attend performances in the opera house, but love opera, and find the movie theatre an option they can handle. If so, what a wonderful way for them to continue to enjoy something they love!

The Opera was beautifully staged by the Met. However to see the show it has to be booked in advance and because the seats are not numbered you have to be there at least an hour in advance to get a decent seat. Why don't movie house recognize adults and sell coffee

The theater in which this excellent HD Met broadcast does not have proper binaural sound. A quality opera broadcast costing $25 should at least have sound from all the speakers.

Alagna is back to being and even better than before, amazing voice and talent! The chemistry with Racette is palpable, she is also awesome on all levels. The big surprise for me was Gagnidze whom I saw for the first time, an amazing Slovak baritone and the best villain Scarpia ever! This performance was a sheer delight!

Wow! I was completely impressed. The performance was beautiful and seeing live from The Met is the way to do it if you are not able to travel to NYC. Of course, a Puccini opera covers every emotion possible. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, Fandango, for making this possible.
