My first time to see an opera telecasted from the Met. It was amazing. Particularly enjoyed the background info given, meeting some of the cast and seeing the mechnics of the scenery. Will certainly encourage others to attend.

Fandango is giving viewers a wonderful opportunity to see a live performance of world-class opera at the Live At The Met Performances. Yesterday we saw Tosca and it was fantastic. I wish more people could see have seen this performance. You are right there with the audience. Rene Fleming was the host for the intermissions where she interviewed the main performers in the cast. We also witnessed how they did the sets backstage. It is better than being in New York! I hope that Fandango will continue to provide opera lovers with these amazing real-time performances. It is like having a $240 seat at the Met! Thank you Fandango!! I will continue to attend this seasons performances. Can't wait til the next one!

Packed with emotions

The MET HD broadcast of Tosca (it is not a movie as it is a live broadcast) was fantastic. It is better to see the broadcast version than attending the MET in person. Not only because it is so much cheaper and more accessible, but mainly because of the emotional communications of the actors/singers. These professionals are much more than singers - they are actors of the highest caliber. And you get to witness that because of the close-ups of the cameras. You see their facial expressions, their eyes, their mouths and all the nuances that you wouldn't notice from the audience. (Especially if you were sitting in the nose-bleed section of the fourth balcony.) This show had tremendous emotional impact. I had read the synopsis of the three acts before attending and thought that it sounded shallow. However the emotional impact that the actors imbued into their roles gave it a depth that the synopsis couldn't.

This opera performance was near perfection;music is stunning, performances were wonderfulstaging , was great. Found interviews of performers during intermission added so much. Even the theater was comfortable and good viewing. Needed to offer this performance in a third theater.

This was a superb production-singing and acting excellent. Only problem the intermissions are too long when you see it in HD. The Met tries to fill the 20 or so minutes with interviews but it's a pain!!!!
