I have never been much of a Wagner fan. However, the Ring may change that. I love the set and the way it can morph into so many things. Now about Siegfried. Mr Morris is the best thing I've seen come out of Texas in decades. He was terrific: heldentenor voice, good looking and a very good actor. The rest of the cast was also excellent on all counts, but I knew that already. A lovely day at the opera.

This was a marvelous Met Opera performance. Wonderful production with dazzling computer animated sets and a stellar cast. Only suitable for serious opera fans - since the performance, including 2 intermissions, is 5 1/2 hours long

Metropolitan Opera's Siegfried Live Performance in HD

Everything about this presentation is magnificent - sound, camera work, staging, and of course the magnificent Metropolitan Opera orchestra -- and the singers themselves. The Met series is a wonderful introduction to opera: you have "the best seat in the house" and the intermission interviews bring you behind the scenes with the production workers, the solists, and give you an insider's look at how the production was created. Highest recommendation!

This was brilliant! All of the singers were fantastic, the story was great, the set engaging. You might not get it if you haven't seen the first two.

Spectacular performances! I particularly liked the new tenor, Jay Hunter Morris. He fit himself into the pre-existing cast after three rehearsals only! He brings a lot of youthful energy and a beautiful sound.
