This was my first time to see a Met Opera telecast - and my first time to see the opera Rusalka. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the opera. However, I must say, there was no real reason for the telecast to last 4 hours - the two breaks between the three acts were timed for 20 minutes and 15 minutes but with the interviews, etc they lasted much, much longer. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the backstage staff change the sets, but perhaps the Met can split the screen with the interviews on one side and the quiet set changes on the other side? Just a suggestion....
